October Speech and Language Activities

Receptive:

-Learn the song “Five little pumpkins.” Act out the song.
-What do these three things have in common: necklace, bracelet, earrings.
-What two small words make up these words: broomstick, pitchfork, wishbone.
-Follow the steps to make a Jack-O-Lantern.

Expressive:

-Find two books at the library about spiders. How were the books the same? How were they different?
-Make three puppets with paper bags. Tell a story with your puppets. What will they do? Where will they go?
-Name three words that rhyme with: _at, _ig, _it.
-Take a trip to a pumpkin patch. When you get back, make a list of all the things you saw/did.
