Social Skills

Our therapists provide individual and group therapy to improve your child’s social skills at home, school, and in the community.

Social skills are a higher-level way to practice using various language skills. Children need to understand and use verbal and nonverbal communication with children and adults appropriately in various settings (home, school, community). Some specific targeted skills include using language for various pragmatic functions (greeting, requesting, commenting), turn-taking, and understanding different perspectives.

During the summer, Chatterbox offers multiple options of social and language groups for school-aged children-if you’re interested, let us know and get added to our waitlist!
