Telehealth Information and Consent

Telehealth Service Policy

Chatterbox offers telehealth therapy services. Telehealth allows a therapist to provide therapy via the internet. Idaho Medicaid does cover telehealth services. Other insurances will need to be consulted on a case by case basis to determine telehealth coverage. The initial evaluation will occur in-person. Telehealth services may be used in subsequent visits. Telehealth frequency of use will be agreed upon between the parent and therapist.

Technology requirements

  • High-Speed Internet

  • A computer, tablet or smartphone device

  • An email address

Space requirements

  • A desk or table

  • Open space in front of desk (table) about 6 ft x 6 ft

  • Adequate lighting

Parent Expectations  

  • May need to have supplies on-hand, a list will be provided by the therapist (1-2 days before the session). Consult your child’s therapist if you need any assistance in obtaining supplies.  

  • Parent will be present and direct their child in therapy as instructed by the therapist.

Child Expectations  

  • Fully engage in each therapy session as instructed by the therapist with parent support.

  • Therapist may choose to terminate telehealth if it is not in the best interest of the child.

Chatterbox attendance & cancellation policy will be followed with telehealth services. If the therapist feels that your child is not benefiting from this type service, telehealth services may be terminated, and therapy may continue in-person at the clinic.
